Texas Bicycle Accidents

Texas is a large state with good weather and miles of open road, it comes with no surprise that cycling is an extremely popular sport and means of transportation and pleasure for Texans. While some cities and counties have built bicycle lanes and issued bicycle laws in a measure to protect cyclists, most cyclists practice extra caution when traveling along car-heavy routes.

Stay Safe

Sadly, despite this precautions, more than 45,000 cyclists are injured as a result of a vehicular accident each year. More often than not, these accidents are the fault of a negligent driver who did not yield or even notice the bicyclist sharing the roadway. While the attorneys of the Wyly Law Firm, P.C. urge cyclists to wear bright lights and reflective gear on the front and back of the bicycle and pay careful attention to the environment surrounding you, we know accidents do happen. And if an accident happens to you, know that the experienced lawyers at Wyly have handled dozens of cases of Texas Bicycle accidents.

Why do you call them accidents (implying that no one is to blame) instead of crashes, which in most cases could have been avoided if everyone was doing their part.
